JourneyMap.ai — Digital Nomad Banking Journey, a customer-experience journey map with phases for Awareness, Sign-Up, First Transfer, Daily Use, Issue Resolution, and Advocacy.

From interview to insight to workshop — without the slides

JourneyMap captures research, structures it as canvases and journeys, extracts what matters with AI, and presents it back to your client. One workspace, end-to-end.

AI insight extraction

Surface pain points, jobs-to-be-done, opportunities, assumptions, and patterns from your canvases and journey maps. Insights are typed, frequency-counted, and ready to drive recommendations.

Transcript import

Paste an interview, customer call, or workshop transcript and get a structured first pass — themed, scored, and slotted into the right canvas sections so you can spend your time on the analysis.

Scenario library

Pre-filled CX and EX journey maps for real situations — onboarding, support, transformation, advocacy. Open one as a starting point or use it as a reference while you build your own.

Canvases that connect

Business Model, Lean, Value Proposition, JTBD, Empathy Map, SWOT, Delegation Canvas — and they all feed into the same insight pipeline so signal travels across artifacts, not just within them.

Workshop-ready presentation mode

Take any project into a clean, full-screen presentation view with a mini-map sidebar. Walk a client through their journey live, capture decisions in the moment, and export the result.

Built for client work

Workspaces, clients, and projects keep client data separated. Passkey + 2FA sign-in. Move-to-trash with 30-day restore. Per-workspace ownership so what your team sees stays inside your team.

From blank page to client-ready in minutes

Three steps from first idea to a polished deliverable your clients will love.

1

Pick a canvas or journey template

Choose from a library of strategy canvases and CX/EX journey map templates — or start from a blank canvas. Customise the structure to match your methodology.

2

Map with your team in real time

Invite clients and colleagues to collaborate live. Drag, drop, and annotate together — whether you're in the same room or across time zones.

3

Export and present instantly

Export polished PDFs and PowerPoint decks with one click. Use presentation mode to walk stakeholders through insights without leaving the app.

Journey mapping guide

Everything you need to know — from foundational theory to practical application.

Step 1 of 7

What is a journey map?

A journey map is a visual representation of the process someone goes through to accomplish a goal. It tells the story of an experience from the person's perspective — what they do, think, and feel at each stage.

The five-zone anatomy (Nielsen Norman Group)

Actor
The persona or user whose experience is being mapped
Scenario
The specific situation and goal the actor is trying to achieve
Phases
The high-level stages the actor moves through
Actions & Mindsets
What the actor does, thinks, and feels at each phase
Opportunities
Where the organisation can improve the experience
Journey maps aren't just diagrams — they're alignment tools. They create shared understanding across teams about what people actually experience versus what the organisation thinks they experience.
From the design-partner cohort

Built around how consultants actually work

JourneyMap is shaped by a small cohort of consultants using it on real client work. Here are the practice areas it's sharpest for today.

Change & transformation

Getting the lived vs. stated story straight

Run interviews, drop transcripts in, watch the gap between what leadership says and what employees experience surface as Depth-tier lanes on a journey map. Pain points roll up into the project Insights view.

Frameworks your client can actually keep

Run sessions in presentation mode, capture what's said live, and share a clean read-only link afterward. The full canvas — Personal BMC, Delegation Canvas, Pre-mortem — stays accessible without exporting.

Security & trust

Built so you can put real client data in.

Consulting work involves sensitive material — interview transcripts, organisational maps, partial strategies. JourneyMap treats it that way: passkeys, 2FA, encrypted storage, and per-workspace isolation are baked in from beta one.

Beta organisations may request additional documentation by emailing hello@journeymap.ai.

Passkeys & 2FA

Sign in with Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware key. Add 2FA from Account settings — backup codes included.

Workspace isolation

Each workspace is row-level isolated in the database. Members of one workspace cannot read data from another.

Encrypted in transit & at rest

All traffic is HTTPS. Data lives in Supabase (Postgres) with encryption at rest and full daily backups.

Recoverable deletes

Move-to-trash sends projects, journeys, and canvases to a 30-day bin. Nothing is permanently deleted without an explicit confirmation.

Frequently asked

Things consultants ask before they sign up

If your question isn't here, email hello@journeymap.ai and we'll answer in plain English.

What kind of consulting work is JourneyMap built for?

Strategy, customer- and employee-experience mapping, change and transformation, design research, and executive coaching. If your work involves interviews, journey maps, or strategy canvases, you're in the target audience. It's less of a fit for product roadmapping or pure visual whiteboarding — Linear and Miro/Mural still beat us at those.

How does AI insight extraction work?

You drop in a transcript, fill in canvases, or build a journey map, then ask Co-pilot to extract insights. It returns typed observations — pain points, jobs-to-be-done, opportunities, assumptions, and patterns — that you review before adopting into the project. Nothing is published or sent anywhere automatically.

What happens to the data I send to AI?

AI features call Anthropic's Claude models per request. Your inputs are not used to train Anthropic's models. We don't share your data with any other AI provider. The full handling rules are in our privacy notes.

Read the privacy notes

Can my client see my work without an account?

Yes. Every project, journey map, and canvas can be shared via a read-only link. Clients open the link in a browser and see a sanitised view — no sidebar, no edit controls, just the artifact. Comments and live editing require an invited account.

How does collaboration work in workshops?

Invite your team to the workspace and they can edit canvases and journey maps together. Presentation mode runs the project full-screen with a mini-map sidebar so you can walk a client through their journey live, capturing decisions in the moment.

What's free during beta? What about after?

Everything is free during beta — no payment details required. When we exit beta we'll publish pricing tiers; people who signed up via the beta cohort will get extended access at the lowest paid tier as a thank-you for the early feedback.

Will my work survive past beta?

Yes. Your workspace, projects, canvases, journey maps, and insights all carry over. There's nothing to export and re-import. We also ship to-trash with 30-day restore, so accidental deletes are recoverable.

How do you handle security?

Passkey and 2FA sign-in, encryption at rest and in transit, per-workspace row-level isolation in Postgres, and EU data residency. Beta organisations who need additional documentation can email us directly.
